Yaoi is based on the eponymous serial manga by Inariya Fusanosuke, which was published in the monthly magazine Comic Aqua in 2005.

The fictional states of Eurota and Deiden are embroiled in a real war. The front line is dug with trenches, soldiers are dying, and exhausting battles are being fought.

Captain Klaus von Wolfstadt is a foreign legionnaire, and he swore allegiance not to the state, but personally to Commander Taki Reisen.
