The yaoi action takes place in nineteenth-century France, where a poor boy from the slums finds himself in prison on suspicion of a murder he couldn't have committed. His family turns away from him, leaving him to a strange lawyer who seems to also not really believe in his client's innocence. However, the boy is not ready to accept the injustice of fate and even in prison is ready to fight for his freedom and innocence.
